Bittersweet Symphony
An immersive sound experience that maps real-time climate data to sounds. By translating real-time climate data into sounds, the project aims to bridge the gap between detached awareness and a deep, personal encounter with the effects of global warming. The project will collect data from AQICN.ORG’s Air Quality Index (AQI), focusing on the 20 hottest cities in the world.
Nubia Lab Residency Project 2023: Sandra Davis
NeuraGest
An interactive exhibition in which viewers can create unique pieces of abstract art following the styles of contemporary artists such as Piet Mondrian, Jackson Pollock or Kazimir Malevich. Using Mediapipe’s artificial intelligence model, a webcam follows the user’s hand movements and gestures to create art without touching any brush or physical element.
Nubia Lab Residency Project 2023:
Marc López
Radiome
Interactive experiment on spatial sound and the sense of orientation, which invites attendees to align themselves with the cardinal points of the Earth – using their phones as antennas – to create collaborative soundscapes. The installation works with binaural auditory environments, audioreactive projections, and a performance that reacts to the sounds generated by the attendees. The collective installation is an immersive exploration of sound, connection, and the human landscape.
