Barcelona AI Music Meetup – “U.N.C.A.N.N.Y.”

On Tuesday, 19 November 2025, from 19:00 to 21:00, ESPRONCEDA – Institute of Art & Culture presented BAMM — Barcelona AI Music Meetup at Carrer d’Espronceda 326, Nau 5, 08027 (Barcelona), within the framework of NUBIA LAB INCUBACIÓN IA MÓNS 2025.

The meetup was dedicated to exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and music, providing a space for producers, independent artists, and creative technologists to connect and exchange ideas.
This edition, titled “U.N.C.A.N.N.Y.”, focused on the strange and fascinating possibilities of AI-generated sound. The guest of the session was GANTASMO, the AI music project led by Daniel Joaquín Trujillo and Josh Valenzuela, and a recent finalist of the AI Song Contest 2024. Their work combines neural composition, environmental sound, and human vocals, embracing the “almost human” quality of AI music as both a creative and aesthetic tool.

The event included a focused talk, a Q&A session, and open networking, highlighting GANTASMO’s distinctive practice at the intersection of neural composition, immersive technology, and live performance—the kind of boundary-pushing work that BAMM was designed to showcase.
