Silenci en temps de soroll – Exposición de Regina Saura and Rita Roqueta
On February 17, 2026, as part of the NUBIA LABS 2026 incubation program, the immersive exhibition Silenci en temps de soroll (Silence in times of noise) was presented. This work by artists Regina Saura and Rita Roqueta invites the public to experience the transformation of urban space towards nature through perception, attention and digital interaction.
This exhibition is the evolution of a deep artistic research started in November 2025. The starting point was the intervention presented in the iconic Mies van der Rohe Pavilion within the NUBIA LAB INCUBATION AI MONTES 2025 program.
What began as a reflection on space and nature in a historical architectural setting, is now moved to an exhibition environment where technology allows for a much more intimate, sensory and participatory experience.
Bosc de Missatges
Bosc de Missatges (Forest of Messages) is an interactive projection mapping installation that transforms the architecture of the exhibition space into a sensitive visual ecosystem. Using LiDAR sensors and real-time systems developed with TouchDesigner, the work translates the artist’s landscapes into a living environment, where organic forms emerge within an urban framework. Light, data and motion converge in a constantly evolving composition, modeled by both algorithmic processes and human presence.
The project was developed in a first version by Ariadna Cortés and Lluís Sentís on the occasion of the intervention presented at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in November 2025. The collaboration with Lluís Sentís – researcher and professor specialized in humanoid robotics, artificial intelligence and people-centered technologies – constitutes an expert and unique contribution to the conceptual and technological development of the work.
Cercle dels Desitjos
Digital evolution continues with Cercle dels Desitjos (Circle of Desires). Born from the initial incubation of Kat Pegler, this Mixed Reality (MR) environment dissolves the boundaries between physical and virtual.
Cercle dels Desitjos presents an immersive environment of mixed reality in which sound, space and interaction are articulated as a speculative ecosystem. Set in a virtual forest of messages, the work invites visitors to explore a sensitive landscape composed of digital matter, symbolic objects and specialized sound. Through real-time interaction, the piece blurs the boundaries between physical presence and virtual storytelling, activating a multicap dialogue between body, technology, nature and urbanism. Cercle dels Desitjos explores how extended reality, interactive systems and sound architecture can function as tools for collective reflection. The forest becomes a living interface: an archive of encoded signals, resonances and meanings, where sound operates as much as material as language.
