NUBIA Lab IA MÓNS 2025 is the latest edition of Catalonia’s leading incubation program, driven by ESPRONCEDA, Institute of Art and Culture, and focused on digital creation with AI and Extended Reality (XR). Over 12 intensive weeks, emerging and established projects will receive personalized mentoring, specialized workshops, and access to a global ecosystem of experts. Building on the experience of past editions and benchmark methodologies (STARTS, NESTA, MIT Media Lab), NUBIA Lab IA MÓNS 2025 reinforces its commitment to technological innovation, international exposure, and social impact. At the end of the program, two projects will move on to an elite super-acceleration phase, with opportunities to showcase on premier platforms such as Venice Immersive, Cannes XR, and the New Images Festival—placing local talent at the epicenter of the creative vanguard.
Why the focus on AI and XR in Nubla Labs Incubació 2025?
Artificial intelligence (AI) and extended reality (XR) are profoundly transforming the creative and cultural landscape in Europe. AI is driving new forms of artistic expression, generative design, and immersive narratives, expanding the possibilities for creation and facilitating more accessible cultural participation. For its part, XR merges the physical and digital worlds, opening up new avenues for education, heritage preservation, and immersive art. Both sectors will play a key role in the coming years, defining how we create, learn, and share culture in an increasingly digital and interconnected Europe. That is why this year we are strengthening the incubation of emerging projects in AI and XR, not only to lead technological innovation, but also to ensure that European values of diversity, ethics, and inclusion guide their development.
