Nubia Lab artist community includes promising emerging artists and some well known artists working in VR, AI and other new technologies, they were participating in Nubia Lab and IMMENSIVA Residences or shows.
Gerard Valls Montaño
An experimental media artist and designer exploring hybrid experiences at the intersection of digital and physical worlds. Drawing from science and technology, Gerard investigates the blurred boundaries between these realms using visuals, materials, light, and sound. His work creates evolving atmospheres that transform with visitor interactions and the passage of time, offering unique, reflective, and immersive experiences that provoke dialogue and debate.
Sara Groborz (Sara + The Bots)
A British-Polish new media audiovisual artist based in Barcelona, Sara Groborz, also known as Sara + The Bots, has over a decade of experience in hybrid arts, creative strategy, and digital experiences. Starting with a foundation in visual arts, her time in Nashville sharpened her songwriting abilities. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Digital Arts and Creative Technologies, Sara integrates AI, sound design, and generative art to craft otherworldly soundscapes and immersive audiovisual installations.
Ana Lozano
Known artistically as L’annna, Ana Lozano is an interdisciplinary artist from L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. With a background in digital arts, she is currently focused on exploring and researching the boundaries, interferences, and differences between the material and the synthetic.
Nicolò Baldi
An interdisciplinary designer and artist born in Bologna, Nicolò Baldi combines a scientific background with a degree in Industrial Product Design from the University of Bologna (2023). He investigates the dynamic dialogue between art and science, creating a hybrid profile where exploration is intuitive and analysis remains open-ended. Now based in Barcelona, Nicolò recently completed a Master’s in Design for Emergent Futures.
Minnie Pangilinan
A Filipino designer, programmer, and maker based in Barcelona, Minnie Pangilinan has a multidisciplinary background in Product Design and Computer Science. Her work focuses on play, accessibility, and sustainability. In her free time, she enjoys playing music.
Mar Gimeno Lumbiarres
Mar Gimeno Lumbiarres is an artist, experience designer, and film director based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Specializing in experience design (XD) and immersive narratives, Mar creates projects that engage diverse audiences, fostering research, reflection, and behavioral change through interactivity and storytelling. Her portfolio includes collaborations with Mobile World Capital, NASA JPL, and Boston Children’s Hospital. Themes of heritage, anthropology, cognitive science, paganism, and natural sciences are central to her work.
Césarine Wisline Lafontant (Lyneca B.)
An architect and artist inspired by urbanism, photography, and writing, Césarine Wisline Lafontant hails from Haiti. She experiments with collage and imagery to reinterpret the world around us, exploring the impact of human interaction with the environment through stories that remain open to interpretation.
