Open Call Nubia Lab Metaverse Navas

NUBIA (NFT Universe in the Blockchain for International Artists) is a new platform launched to produce projects related to liminal metaverses, between the physical and the digital.

The creation of Metaverses and the generation of new experiences is explored by different artistic/university/citizen collectives that are invited to be part of the NUBIA collective, where they receive training, advice and accompaniment to the first phases of the project. These proposals, between the physical and the digital, are connected to the blockchain economy, through the generation of NFTs associated to digital artistic works and also to physical works.

NUBIA Lab has organised an open call to choose 5 participants, prioritizing young people (18-30 years old), women or LGTBI+ collective, not excluding age if motivated people are found. The two weeks of co-creation are face-to-face, in the mornings, from 11am to 2pm on weekdays, and is coordinated with the Be Another Lab collective. The whole group of 5 people works on the same project, encouraging negotiation and collaboration. The creative result, a liminal metaverse between the real/analogical and the virtual/digital, will be shown to the neighbors in an open day in collaboration with the neighborhood associations of Navas and Sant Andreu.

The goals of NUBIA Lab Metaverso NAVAS are:

1) To create a Metaverse in a collaborative way and that has a root/connection with the neighborhood of Navas.

2) NUBIA Lab favors a safe environment, so that citizen teams can create their first Metaverse project (Web 3, liminal: physical + digital) and think about the generation of benefits for its commercialization through NFTs of physical works, digital objects and immersive experiences.

3) Offer initial and motivational training through face-to-face workshops: ideation and creation of metaverses, immersive technologies of expanded reality (VR, AR, 360 projection), 3D sound, multisensorial environments (touch, smell, etc), multi-platform projects, creation of NFTs for the monetization and protection of intellectual property, etc.

4) Generate creative communities and mutual growth, replacing traditional social networks.
